If you are a currently enrolled FIU student, please apply for financial assistance today through go.fiu.edu/eaidrequest. Please note, this will take you directly to a section in MyFIU and you will be required to sign in.

Even if you think you do not qualify for funding, please fill out the application. We are committed to helping our students in need through a variety of avenues, including private funding.

CARES Act

As of June 5, 2020, FIU had allocated all of its CARES Act funds to eligible students. Students who were not awarded CARES Act funds and are still in need should apply for financial assistance at go.fiu.edu/eaidrequest. FIU is working on additional funding sources to help meet student needs.

To address the pressing financial need of students due to the disruption of campus operations from coronavirus, the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act of 2020 provided funds for direct emergency financial aid grants to students for expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to coronavirus (including eligible expenses under a student’s cost of attendance such as food, housing, course materials, technology, health care, and child care).

For more information about how CARES Act funding was allocated, please visit the CARES Act page.
