Healthy Living

The university community is transitioning to a post-COVID next normal with a healthy university our top priority. We’re counting on you to protect yourself and other Panthers through our Healthy Living habits: stay home if you feel ill, face coverings are strongly advised if indoors, wash your hands frequently, sneeze or cough into your elbow, make sure your vaccines are up to date and, above all, respect people’s choices.

Latest Update

FIU is focused on promoting healthy living for our students, faculty, staff, and community. Below is some important information to ensure you have a safe and successful semester.

COVID-19
FIU is adhering to updated guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Please remember that vaccines remain the most effective way to prevent severe illness from COVID-19.

Please respect the choices of others regarding mask wearing. Frequent hand washing and the use of hand sanitizer also help mitigate the spread of infection.

P3 app
The university will no longer use the P3 app to report COVID symptoms or infections. The P3 app and the Panthers Protecting Panthers webpage will be updated frequently with relevant information and resources for the FIU community on healthy living practices.

Students with concerns of COVID or any other illness may contact FIU Student Health Clinics at 305-348-8385. Faculty, staff and other members of the community may contact FIU Health at 305-348-3627(DOCS).

Seasonal Flu
You can get your flu vaccine on campus. Please call FIU Health, 305-348-3627(DOCS) or the Student Health Clinics, 305-348-8385 to make an appointment.
