According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines, individuals ages 65 and older, individuals ages 18-64 at high risk of contracting severe COVID-19, and individuals ages 18-64 who work in high-risk environments can get a Pfizer booster shot six months after completion of the primary series.
Appointments are available and walk-ins are welcome from 9 am - 4 pm Monday-Thursday. Everyone must bring a photo ID or birth certificate.

Reward Program – For those vaccinated prior to August 25
Students, faculty and staff who were fully vaccinated before August 25 are invited to participate in a raffle for 300 incentive payments of $150 each. Please note that funds provided by the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) – which FIU is using for the incentive payments to newly-vaccinated individuals – cannot be used to reward those who have been previously vaccinated. Therefore, FIU is using university funds for the raffle.
To be eligible, students, faculty and staff must upload your vaccination card to the Student Health portal by Friday, September 24. Randomly selected winners will receive the $150 reward on their FIU One Card within a month of uploading a valid vaccine card.
How to use your incentive
In order to receive the $150 incentive, please upload your vaccination card documenting you have received both vaccine doses by October 31 to the Student Health portal. Faculty and staff should also utilize the Student Health Portal to upload vaccination cards.
By uploading this documentation, individuals agree to grant permission to the FIU Student Health Center to access their Florida SHOTS record. For expedited vaccine verification, we encourage you to get vaccinated right here at FIU.
Eligible students, faculty and staff can use their $150 incentive payment anywhere FIU Cash is accepted, such as dining vendors, retail and service locations.

After receiving the vaccine
It’s great news that the COVID-19 vaccine is now available, but we still need to remain vigilant to stay healthy. Even if you have received the vaccine, you must continue to fill out the P3 app before coming to FIU, and we strongly advise you continue to wear a face covering, wash your hands frequently and practice physical distancing in addition to observing safety guidelines in offices, classrooms, public spaces, housing and laboratories.
